I'm a software developer who spends as much time in the terminal as in the editor. I care about systems that stay up, deploy pipelines that don't need babysitting, and code that the next person can actually read.
I started out writing small bash scripts to automate repetitive work, and that habit of automating everything followed me into infrastructure. These days I split my time between shipping product features and keeping the servers that run them healthy.
Boring technology, used well, beats clever technology used carelessly. I'd rather ship something small and observable than something impressive and fragile.
Long term, I want to keep working at the intersection of software and infrastructure — building products that are as reliable to run as they are pleasant to use.
